Well folks,it's true..Even if no one cares..

There IS bouldering in Thessaloniki..! Yes,this rock-starved city is actually surrounded by a couple of areas suitable for bouldering..Hate it or love it,these are OUR blocks and we trully love'em..Noticable scattered boulder problems worthwhile visiting,found and developed by some of the local climbers here,only in order to help us forget how much we lack in contrast to other God-blessed bouldering areas,yet serving as a subtle reminder of how much we love the sport..This blog is an account of a small group of climbers in Salonika,who,while the "odds" are phenomenically against them in a place like this,manage somehow to always find something to climb...Fresh stuff will be uploaded daily,so check in regularly to keep the motivation going.. When the budget gets rough, and you're pinned down in Salonica,there's still shit to send without virtually leaving your couch!! Thessaloniki may certainly not be considered as a climbing Mecca,but has outdoor stone within a 30-minute radius.. So we gathered the best noticable problems in the city!! Plus we threw in a couple more of our favorite spots..

We're so devoted to the sport that we'll check out nearly anything that can be climbed..!! The lack of rock in Salonica made us believe in climbing so strongly,that we still boulder and climb,despite the fact that we have to travel at least 2 hours to find the nearest decent sport climbing or bouldering areas..This is our effort to prove that you can still make your dreams come true,reaching a personal goal, grades or not, even if the odds are against you..Problems up to 7c /+ , were established by the never forgoten Giotakis George,who had an eye to see at a time were everyone was laughing at the idea of bouldering in this beautiful town..We're always hoping to find that eliminate,that desperate last problem out of nowhere,and transfer our training on plastic,on something that would only take 30 minutes to reach, and months of training to finally repeat...From Salonika to Pinovo or even the Rocklands at South Africa,our moto is definite: "The only thing we care about is the FFA!"
